Based on available data, 45,961 people have tested positive for the virus in 305,857 COVID-19 tests in Sudurpashom province to date.
About 15 percent of the t
otal population of the province, or more than 2.5 million people, have tested positive for the infection in terms of PCR and antigens. According to the Deepal Health Department, 45,216 infected people have recovered, a recovery rate of 98 percent.
The number of people who have died from the virus in the province has reached 580.
Of the nine districts in the province, the most affected by the virus are Kailali and Kanchanpur.
In the last 24 hours, 15 people have been found infected out of 969 tested for COVID-19. In the past two weeks alone, 564 new infections have been reported and 495 people have not been infected. Again, two people have died from this infection.
Recently, the rate of infection has declined. The number of active infections now stands at 408, down from 502 two weeks ago. However, restraining orders have been relaxed. Health officials warn that the high mobility of people in public places and violations of hygiene protocols increase the risk.
