Medical supplies have been provided to survivors of this year’s monsoon floods in Sindhupalchoka.
An organization called Onestep Foundation has partnered with Global Expeditions, an organization founded by Nepalese women Everest climbers, to distribute medical supplies to 500 flood-affected families in the city of Melange and in the rural areas of Hrambu and Panchpohari.
Foundation Chairman Suman Shumsur Thapa handed over support materials to officials of the three local governments. He said medical supplies, which also include medicines, were distributed to disaster survivors to protect the basic rights of people during the crisis.
A community hospital has been established in Thapatali for the urban poor living in the capital and one will be established in Jajarkot in the near future as well, he said.
